Traditionally pesto has a ton of salt & parmesan cheese added to it. Store-bought pesto also sometimes contains low-quality canola oil that causes inflammation. Try out this fresh recipe, and you will never buy store bought pesto again!


  • 5 Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 1 clove Fresh Garlic
  • 1/2 c Pine Nuts
  • 1/3 c Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Ground Black Pepper + Pink Salt (Optional Paprika / Cayenne) for spice
  • squeeze of fresh lemon


  • Blend all ingredients in a food processor or blender, refrigerate and serve with warm pita bread, or vegetables!
